Could Your Baby Be a Model ?

Modelling, baby model, female model, male model

Every parent thinks their child is the cutest baby ever born and in some cases, it's true! If your friends and family and everyone on the street comments on your infant's perfect complexion, big bright eyes and beaming face, it might be time to consider a career in modelling for your little one!

Modelling, baby model, female model, male model

Baby Modelling is far more relaxed than that of older children. Here, fat is good and the range of what is considered cute and adorable is wider. There are no laxatives or extreme diets and it is a good way to get a head start on the college fund without your baby even remembering that he had a big part in starting it!

The best way to see how much modelling potential your baby has is to get some photos and try entering photo contests. A Google search for "baby photo contests" will turn up enough results for you to send out at least a dozen shots of your cutie. Winning the contest is great, but even better is when the sponsors decide to use your infant in other promotions !

Modelling, Modelling Agency

You can also try submitting photos of your baby to a modelling agency. Look for one that takes on babies in particular since this means less competition. Be aware that 95% of babies are not chosen for modelling work because they don't have the right look.

Fashion Modelling

So, what are Agencies looking for ? Your baby should be a happy one since smiles are all important in landing modelling gigs. A laidback, calm baby will do far better than one who freaks out at little things. The temperament of your child goes a long ways in determining if he will get the job or not.

Babies should look realistic, not doll-like. That means some hair is good, bald is usually not something advertisers are looking for. Too much hair can make a baby look fake. That being said, there is a call for all types of infants and you should go ahead and try for it anyway if you are truly interested in the opportunity.

The mother's attitude can play a big part in whether or not your baby makes it as a model as well. You need to be calm and go along with the instructions given by the director. Uptight stage mothers are not appreciated on the step and you won't be asked back. The mother of a baby model is also responsible for keeping her little one in a good mood on a long shoot.

If you think your baby has what it takes to become a model, why not go ahead and submit some photos to agencies and contests. You might not make it, but if you do, your baby could be on his way to earning his own college fund !

Fashion Sense Of Style

Everyone is unique in his or her own way and we develop individual tastes when it comes to our own style and fashion. You have to admit that there are really people who are born with a great fashion sense.

While there are people who are innately born with this talent, it is not impossible for you to develop a strong fashion sense when it comes to style. It doesn't happen overnight though and it requires your keen observance and strong attention to the current trends, the styles that go with the body type and height you have as well as even to the extent of the types of fabrics that would go well with a particular cut, design or style. Color, Details and Pattern are also important considerations when you think about fashion.

Everyone always has his/her favorite asset on his/her own body. Determine the assets that you have so that you could further enhance these with the clothes that you will be wearing. Whether it is having slender and smooth legs, broad shoulders or well endowed breasts, highlight your assets with the right clothes to make heads turn. While looking chic and stylish, use your body assets to your advantage.

Everybody has his/her individual or distinct look that gives a certain signature look. You should have your own sense of style and avoid trying to copy from other people. It is perfectly okay to draw inspiration from other people's fashion style instead of copying them. Why not integrate them into your own by adding a few of your very own touches to a certain particular style. If you have a particular favorite color, try wearing its varying shades. If you love a particular design do wear variations of it. Be true to your style and don't be afraid to explore and try out what you think looks good on you.

A good ensemble wouldn't go far if you don't have the confidence and the Proper Posture to go with it. You have to admit that wearing an outfit with an air of confidence caps off the look. Posture is as important because aside from the fact that it makes you look taller, you look more graceful and elegant. If you are confident, you will look great even if you are wearing something very simple.

Eating Disorders Among Fashion Models

Models seem to be suffering the brunt of the fashion industry's obsession with size zero, according to a new study carried out by the Model Health Inquiry. The study indicates that as many as 40% of models may currently be suffering from some kind of eating disorder.

The report suggests that there is a growing number of women with hidden eating disorders. If this is the case, perhaps current known cases may be just the tip of the iceberg.

Dr. Adrienne Key, a psychiatrist and one of the authors, said that although anorexia is the most famous eating disorder among fashion models, bulimia is probably the most common. Dr. Key added that the problem of eating disorders among models is getting worse. Many of the models, it seems, are purging or consuming vast quantities of water to conceal their weight - a dangerous move as it can seriously deplete potassium levels.

The report is the result of an enquiry set up by the British Fashion Council under the supervision of Baroness Kingsmill. The aim was to find out how much pressure there is on models to stay very thin, and what effect this pressure might have on them.

Be Professional Model - tips to Become A Model

Professional modelling begins with securing your client and by them being willing to pay you for your work. Modelling with out a paying client is just a bad idea usually means that someone is just trying to rip you off. Having what they say is the right look and talent is what you acquired and if this is what you have then you should use it in a tasteful way. This is where being a professional model comes in to play knowing what to do to market you.

When A Project Calls

When your agent lay’s a contract for a attractive girl to stand next to a new product, it would require someone who can constantly look good in front of a camera lens and show that she would have the emotional expression that is needed on cue. She should Show up on time and be able to leave on time. In so many other ways make the shoot go quickly, and efficiently for it to be successful, if she can pull this off she will be the person who will get the job. Then she will also be the person who gets the call back next time. This is what starts her on the road to becoming a professional model with a new career.

Lines For What It Takes To Be A Model

As all of the above is true there are things you need to consider before you get started with the big time. 1 do you have what it takes to be a model? 2 what type of model do you want be ? 3 do you want to try high fashion modelling on the catwalks of Paris OR feature on the cover of Vogue and such like. The requirements can be strict. If you are looking to try commercial modelling then the requirements are much broader. If you were considering being a glamour, or pin-up model these have their requirements.

Portfolio

This is the first thing you should put in place before all other stages as with any work like this the more you have to show off the better work you could land up with, start small don’t try to get straight to the top of the ladder as you will more then likely crash and burn. Once you have started to build your portfolio you should look to getting an agent to promote you and arrange for you to have a professional photo shoot.

Photo Shoot

You can be a pro or a semi pro to a photographer but the better you can react in front of a camera the better your shoot will go the les time they have to stop and tell you how to follow their instructions means more photos of you. And if it goes well they will work with you again.
